PTA Sponsored Events & Programs
Alanton Elementary has a very active and involved PTA. Here are some of the events and programs that the PTA sponsors throughout the school year.
PTA Family Picnic
The PTA Family Picnic is one of the first events of the school year. It takes place on the outside field. The Alanton PTA usually provides the hot dogs and each grade level will be asked to bring side items to share. Check the school calendar on our homepage for more information about this event.
Treats for Teachers
It is time again for the Alanton PTA’s Treats for Teachers program! Every Friday during the school year, food goodies are supplied to our teachers and staff by generous parents. Please use the Sign-Up Genius link for specific details. You can sign-up alone, with other families, or as a classroom.
Monster Mash
Monster Mash is an annual event at Alanton Elementary, and one of the most well attended events. Students and parents are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween costume and join in on the fun. Some of the fun activities include DJ hosted dance, cake walk and lots of fun games and food. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time from the PTA.
Watch D.O.G.S. Dads
WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.

Cookies and Cocoa With Santa
Have your picture taken with Santa, shop the vendors make holiday crafts and enjoy yummy cookies, cocoa and coffee for the grown-ups during this annual event. Cookies and Cocoa with Santa usually take place on a Saturday in early December.
BINGO Night
Join in all the fun of a BINGO Night at Alanton Elementary. Pizza, BINGO fun, and lots of prizes will all be a part of the PTA BINGO Night.
Fifth Grade Bridging Ceremony
The 5th grade class at Alanton Elementary School is raising funds toward the Bridging Ceremony and End of Year Clap-out Party. These events take place in mid-June and are a well loved tradition. The class will also dedicate funds toward a school gift.
